Welcome to Tropical Troopers Archery! We are an archery club based in Miramar, FL dedicated to improving shooting skills and giving back to our communities. We meet every Sunday at 10:00-12:00 PM. Our programs are taught by certified USA archery instructors and coaches.

We train archers to:

• Learn range safety, proper shooting form, advanced techniques, and tournament preparation
• Compete in local, regional, and national tournaments
• Increase focus, self-confidence, and encourage team-building

JOAD Program

Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) program is for those who are 8-20 years old and the Adult Archery Development is for adults 20+ years old. The JOAD program will has two levels:

• Intermediate-to-advanced level for JOAD and adults interested in competitions
• Beginners level

The Intermediate-to-advanced archers are strongly encouraged to compete in local, state, and national tournaments. Archers receive a longer and more structured practice as well as coaching support at some tournaments during the year. A young archer must be a member of a JOAD club to participate in JOAD tournaments or any USA Archery Sanctioned events. You must have full membership to USA Archery (check USAArchery.org for pricing). JOAD and adults members are responsible for their own tournament registration fees and travel/lodging arrangements for any events. Any college student who meets the age requirements is still eligible to compete as a JOAD. USA Archery rules allow a dual classification of "collegiate" as well as a JOAD class during a given tournament, without having to pay two fees. Likewise, athletes with disabilities may choose to compete in their IPC classification as well as a JOAD based on their age. JOAD archers who compete may have to opportunity to work towards scholarships.
